texas weather is always a challenge!  it is either blazing hot, humid, or raining!  it is rare that the weather is perfect!  spring days are nice and you get those cool fronts, but normally it lasts 5 seconds!  brittany and jordan were married on one of those crazy weather weekends here in texas.  the sky has never looked so black before and they were having an outdoor ranch wedding.  i am happy to report that it did not rain one drop on their wedding ceremony or even after! we even had the most beautiful sunset after the ceremony. brittany is a sweet, compassionate person that loves her friends and family.  jordan is the loyal and consistant type - the perfect pair!  i enjoyed getting to know these two! 

their wedding had some amazing details to it....and the dance floor was bouncing!  i think all the energy there danced the rain away!

wow!  i am so glad that this is done and ready to post!  i have been working on this promo video for a while now. it was my goal to get some footage of me shooting real clients so others had an idea of how i worked during the shoot.
we shot this last year in the late fall and we are just now wrapping up due to a busy schedule on my end.  i had a great time working with my friend , trae stanely.  he was so much fun and shot/edited the video of me.  being on the other side was a challenge but he made it easy and did a fabulous job. i think he is starting to shoot some weddings so contact him if you are interested. also, a thanks to my brother in law, trevor shepard, who put the intro together!  he is an amazing talent in the graphics world!

kim called me awhile back to book me to shoot her wedding in dallas!  i am so excited to travel away from houston and shoot their fun wedding.  it was ironic to be shooting for kim because she was a photo major in college and now works in the advertising field - i was an advertising major!  :)  funny how things like that work out.  i love it when brides come to me with ideas.  this does not mean you have to pick a location out....i do that part.  but when you think about something that is fun or special to you as a couple or you have a creative idea, that helps me get my juices flowing!  here is a shot from the session along with a fun album that i put together.

this wedding was beyond beautiful. before i go on about the amazing wedding i wanted to share with you about the fabulous elizabeth morgan. she was the wedding planner and i believe it was her last wedding to plan. i don't want to get her age wrong....but she has been planning weddings for 50 years! i asked her how many she had planned and she said it scared her to think about that.  i laughed and then cried!  i was in awe of her skills at the wedding!  she was a fun spirit to work with and was on top of it all.  she was even recovering from a broken hip.  here is a shot of her checking out the scene before the wedding.



blair and bryan's wedding took place at st. lukes united methodist church and reception was held at the houston country club.  a color scheme of pink's and green's were featured in many aspects of the wedding.  i loved it!  the flowers were stunning and provided by bergner johnson design. i had a great time being a part of their special day and seeing so many of my old college/high school friends.  quite a treat!  here are some of my favorite images from the wedding.  congrats to blair and bryan on their lovely marriage!
