i felt honored to be asked by allison to photograph her family! i was going to capture the birth of her youngest but she had her in a matter minutes after arriving to the delivery room! since her birth we have been talking about coming to her house to capture a "lifestyle" session of her with her girls! allison is a photographer in the woodlands so i felt honored that she wanted me to document this time in their lives. it is always hard being a photographer because you really think that you can manage to take your own photos of your kids, when it is a hard thing to do! you can't really do it and be in the photo! I have a handful of pictures of me and my family! it is a sad thing that we need to take more time to do! i am so glad that allison wanted to capture herself with the girls. next year they will look different, say different things, grow out of that cute little outfit you bought them, and you may look different after all of those late night feedings.

Brooke, thank you again. I love that you captured my baby's two bottom teeth because she already has 4 more teeth on top! And, of course, I will always remember my big girl's terrible two "I'm gonna kick the photographer-splash bubbles at her camera-and basically act like an idiot" stage because you even captured that beautifully:) I adore the bubble bath pictures! And, the nursing images are perfectly real life & I will cherish them forever. Awesome job!

nary and gerald are the most down to earth couple i have ever met! i say ever and it may be true. there was not one thing that made nary or gerald crazy on their wedding day! 104 degree weather and no ac in the limo......that is a reason to go crazy, but she was cool! :) we were beyond thrilled to be a part of this beautiful wedding and see all of the little things that made it unique. here are a couple that i can recall: 1. blazing hot weather, 2. the preist calling gerald another name, and 3. geralds grandmother gave a toast to him on a video just before she passed away (and he saw it for the first time at the reception). this wedding held on tight to friendships, family and having fun! thanks for allowing me to capture it!

if you follow my blog, you know that i have been planning a photographers trip for quite some time! i was excited to see it happen finally! to spend time with others that know where you are in life was refreshing. seeing that this was our first trip ever we were not knowing what to
expect nor did we think about what we were to blog about on [marfatrip]. our grand ideas of putting
a photo of every single lady up on the blog did not happen. was it because we were too distracted of the fun to be had? or maybe it
was because we wanted to enjoy our time together with out a camera in
our face?! i would like to say that i wish i had enough time to spend
with every girl to take a photo to express how beautiful they are. we will do it on the next trip. we did
however manage to grab a fun shot of all of us ladies on the west texas
land. this trip was beyond amazing and it was because of each of these
girls!

to all my beautiful friends, thanks for the amazing week. i feel closer to life because of all of you!

this post has been waiting for a long time and i think the wait is worth it! i got to go to san miguel for rachael and jasons wedding during the end of may. i knew the wedding would be beautiful! rachael works for a catering company here in houston so her taste is beyond extraodinary! the wedding was held at a castle of sorts and i think that i got my workout for the year going up and down the 4 flights of stairs! rachael and jason wanted an intimant affair to attend and it was certainly a sweet crowd. one piece of advice that rachael would give you for your wedding day is to purchase your dress on ebay! she found the most spectacular dress that was being passed down from another bride. it looked stunning on her too! i could go on but here are some of my favorite shots from the wedding day!
