tiffany and jason are getting married on april 24, 2010 and i can't wait to shoot their intimate wedding. these two met off of eharmony.com and could not be more perfect for each other. when i do my engagement sessions i like to send out a questionnaire that asks fun questions on what draws them to each other and how they met. this helps me get to know them on a deeper level and helps the shoot progress. one of the top things they shared with me, besides the tantric sex, (they wanted to make sure i was reading their answers and it is only a JOKE) :) is that they could have fun together in a paper sack. i think i would have fun with them in that sack too!
when deciding where we should shoot, one of the places that they love to be is in an airport. they love to travel together and are excited for life's adventures.

during the start of this year we were invited to spend time with our best friends at their texas ranch. i had a wonderful time there and it was a nice relaxing start to the new year.
one thing that i have little time to do these days is shoot for myself. i find that it is hard to pick up a camera at the end of the day so rarely do i challenge myself to create for me. while away i took my camera out to the horse barn and captured some shots of these beautiful animals. they were eager to pose for me and i may enlarge a few for some art work on our walls (another project that has been put to the side). now the only hard part is picking which ones to print, size of prints and what wall to place them on.
stella, who is four, had lots of fun playing with her little friend and going on fishing trips with dad. she even took on to horse back riding with my dear friend ashley. one goal in 2010 is to pick up my camera for myself!
happy friday.

I'm glad you found time to shoot for yourself. Since it's usually considered "work," we forget how therapeutic photography can be. I hope to see more personal stuff in the future! =)

i love photographing different stages in life, this one in particular...the famous teenage years. i remember those days pretty clearly and it was a time that i may NOT have chosen to take my picture often. :) morgan was beautiful and incredibly easy to photography. she sure was a sport in the cold rain. her Bat Mitzvah this month and I am excited to photograph that stage in her life. congrats morgan.

Great idea to put your thoughts down in a blog. The pictures are quite good and seem to not need a caption to convey the message. Look forward to other posts.

here's to 2010! first blog of the year and i am excited to start again with some amazing couples. 2009 was a wonderful year and i will recap when i am not too overwhelmed.
this couple is one of my amazing 2010 clients and i am really excited about their summer wedding in houston. engagement sessions are always a fun way for me to get to know the couple and spend some time before their big day. even though this day was rainy and the dense fog was out, it brought a fun feel. here's to 2010!

my sister and brother in law have been here in houston for the holidays and i got the chance to meet my nephew for the first time. can i say that i am in love with this child.. he is yummy and so fun to be around. getting him to chuckle is about the funniest thing and you often find him smiling at you if you make a funny face.
for christmas i received a 35mm 1.4 lens so it was necessary to find a model to play with. it certainly helped me capture some fun ones.

he loves his mommy.
blue eyes are bright.
cousins - stella loves playing with owen and she insisted that she take a photo with him too! i love this shot below.
crazy face.
